Imphal, June 28 2016: A large number of Manipur Muslims with their families turned up at a grand Iftar party held on June 26 at Jamia Millia Islamia University premises in Delhi recently. The annual Iftar Party was organized by the Delhi Asso- ciation of Manipur Muslim Students (DAMMS), along with other Manipuri students organisations based in Delhi. After saying namaz, the programme was concluded with a dinner programme, informed a statement. Meanwhile, Noney Battalion of Loktak Brigade under the aegis of Red Shield Division organised, Iftaar celebration on the evening of June 27 at Noney.

Keeping the ethos, faith and belief of the local Muslims and Muslim soldiers, Iftaar cel- ebration was organised to celebrate the auspicious occasion during holy month of Ramzaan.

A small prayer was organised in the beginning of the event, followed by small speech on communal harmony and brotherhood followed by meals, informed a statement issued by the PIB (DW) .
