AR sets up COVID Care Assistance Centre

Imphal, May 27 2021: Maram Battalion of Assam Rifles under Jwalamukhi Sector established COVID Care Assistance Centre at Maram Garrison on Thursday.

With the start of 3rd stage vaccination drive launched by the government to fight against Covid-19, Maram Battalion joined hands with civil administration to curb the pandemic, said a release adding that timely initiative taken by chief medical officer and RMO of the unit has resulted in timely registration and scheduling appointment for vaccination for all the dependents of garrison and nearby locals.

On Thursday, a total of 100 individuals including 37 civilians were vaccinated at Unit M I Room.

The civilians were also provided guidance and precautions against COVID-19 by the RMO of the unit apart from distribution of masks and sanitisers.
