Imphal, May 27 2016 : The Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Social Justice, Maneka Gandhi has assured to in- tervene into the severe malpractices in the Social Welfare Department of Manipur, said RK Pramodini, president, BJP State Mahila Morcha.

Representatives of Manipur BJP Manila Morcha led by its president RK Pramodini met Union Minister Maneka Gandhi on May 26 at Shastri Bhavan New Delhi wherein malpractices within the Social Welfare Department of Manipur were high- lighted.

RK Pramodini also highlighted the active role and impor- tance of women in the State politics of Manipur and asked to extend moral support in the upcoming State Assembly elec- tion.

Minister Maneka Gandhi assured that the Ministry will look into matter at the earliest.

The Minister also assured to visit the State before the upcoming general election.
