Training programme held

A three-day trainers' training programme on "Production of quality planting material and accreditation of nursery of focus horticulture crops' was held today at the State Guest House, Sanjenthong here.
The inaugural session was graced by Horticulture and Soil Conservation Director K Kipgen, Professor of Horticulture, College of Agri Nagpur Dr DM Panchbhai and MIDH in-charge Md Hafizuddin as chief guest and guests of honour.
During the technical session Dr DM Panchbhai presented a paper on 'Advances in propagation techniques in citrus, guava and mango' while CIH Nagaland Assistant Horticulture Specialist Yongkongtula gave a detail account on 'Guidelines and procedures for nursery accreditation of certification of Horticulture crops'.
The three-day training programme is organised by the Central Institute of Horticulture, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India.
