Imphal, June 25 2013: 28 Sector Assam Rifles of HQ IGAR (South) in collaboration with various government organisations and NGOs would be organising a one-day seminar on HIV/AIDS tomorrow at Kakching.

Appropriately themed 'AVOID THE SCARE - BE AWARE' the seminar is an endeavor to join hands with the various organisations and the society, thereby reinforcing the commitment of Assam Rifles towards the well being of the people Manipur, PRO IGAR (S) said in a statement.

A galaxy of prominent speakers from various governmental organisations, medical fraternity and media will participate in the event which shall be presided over by Maj Gen Rajeev Chopra IG AR (South).

The seminar will not only seek to generate awareness amongst the society but also to move a step ahead in eradicating the stigma and discrimination associated with HIV/AIDS, the statement added.
