Imphal, January 24 2023: Phundrei Battalion of 1GAR (South) on Tuesday distributed 20 solar lights to chiefs of Maribung, Thungcheng, Serou and Khopijang villages in Chandel district under its Operation Sadbhavana project for the year 2022-23 .

In a release, PRO 1GAR (S) informed that the solar lights were handed over to village au -thorities in a function organised by Sugnu COB and attended by village chiefs, secretaries and youth club members of the villages.

The provision will be highly beneficial for the locals residing in the remote areas of Sugnu area in Chandel district, said the PRO, adding that the village chiefs and other village members expressed their gratitude towards Assam Rifles for the welfare initiative.
