The Manipur Home Guard Employees Welfare Association has demanded the State Government and the authorities concerned to transform their assurances into action, respect the order of the High Court concerning the minimum pay for the Home Guard employees and to do the needful at the earliest.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, the president of MHGEWA, 'Y Mangi Singh, appealed to the Government to do the needful for the welfare of the Home Guard personnel, take up necessary steps for establishing Women Division and to expedite necessary actions against Battalion Commanders who were appointed against Manipur Home Guard Act and Rules.
