SAYOKA celebrates 40 years

Thoubal, April 23 2019: Sahitya Yokkhat Kanglup (SAYOKA), Tentha celebrated its 40th anniversary and released two books today.

The programme held at Ima Inaobi Ningsing Maheikol, Tentha was attended by Tongbram Babulal, president, Khorirol Sandokpa Lup, Wangjing, Ningthou Naoriya, president, SAYOKA, and Tekcham Nandalal, Principal, Vision Creative School of Science, Thoubal as presidium members.

A book titled 'Tenthagi Wari - Vol II' by Moirangthem Rajen and Kartik Maiba was released along with a book on collection of poems titled 'Liklang' as a part of the event.

Thomas Hardy Memorial Award 2019 was awarded to writer Takhellambam Nogendro of Pallel.

The award carries Rs 5,000, a shawl and citation.

A sammelan was also organised as a part of the event.
