CrPC 144 in Thoubal district

Imphal, August 21 2012: In order to prevent disturbances to public tranquility and unwanted incidents, District Magistrate, Thoubal Disrict K Radhakumar has issued a public notice for implementing CrPC 144 in the whole Thoubal district.

Accordingly, assembly of five persons or more which is likely to turn unlawful and carrying of sticks, stones, firearms and weapons have been prohibited from 6 pm to 4 am from August 22 onwards.

However, the order shall not apply to government agencies in the enforcement of law and order and essential services.

Prior permission should also be taken for procession for marriage, funeral and religious purposes from the District Magistrate, Thoubal District.
