Magisterial enquiry on alleged encounter death of Ahanthem Amujao

Imphal, May 21 2012: I Dinesh-kumar Singh, Executive Magistrate (SDC Porompat) Imphal East has been appointed to conduct the magisterial enquiry into the alleged en counter death of Ahanthem Amujao Singh (18) s/o A Basanta of Sawombung gate by a team of Imphal East police commandos along Khuman Palli road on January 27 .

According to an order issued by RK Dinesh, DM, Imphal East district, the terms of reference of the said enquiry included facts and circumstances leading to the incident, analysis of the facts and circumstances, findings based on the facts and circumstances and analysis thereof, and recommendations to prevent recurrence of such incidents in the future.

It further mentioned that the Enquiry report should be submitted to the District Magistrate within two months period.
