AR provided adventure training

As a part of the 'Youth Empowerment Initiative' and to promote adventure sports in Kangpokpi district, the Jwalamukhi Battalion of 2 2 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (E), provided adventure training to selected youth of Kangpokpi district at Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand.
A total of 5 socially backward youth were selected for the 2 week course at the reputed institute, where training for various mountaineering skills would be provided to them.
The flagging off ceremony was held at COB Motbung of Jwalamukhi Battalion on February 13 .
The initiative is intended to provide manpower in mountaineering skills so as to provide the required boost to the vast untapped eco-tourism sector of Kangpokpi district.
Meanwhile, Jwalamukhi Battalion under the aegis of 22 Sector Assam Rifles under IGAR (East) provided food items to Royal Orphanage Home at Phainom village in Kangpokpi district.
COB Motbung of the Battalion also provided food items to Compassion Children Home and Kanglatongbi Children Home in Kangpokpi district on February 13 .
