Imphal, December 17 2024: Meetei (Meitei) Tribe Union (MMTU) has extended deepest condolences upon the passing of Nameirakpam Sobhachandra Singh, member of MMTU on December 15 .

Born to (L) Nameirakpam Rabichandra Singh from Kha Potshangbam Maning Leikai, Ward No 9, Bishnupur, N Sobhachandra was an advocate for inclusion of Meeteis in the ST and participated in many related agitations.

He also played a big role in MMTU's missed call campaign which was carried out from November 20 December 20 last year.

MMTU members have offered prayers for the departed soul to rest in peace and shared in the grief of the bereaved family.
