DM Kakching issues order to deposit licensed arms

Kakching, February 16 2019: To ensure peaceful conduct of Lok Sabha Elections 2019, District Magistrate, Kakching, Neilenthang Telian has ordered all the licensed holders of arms in the jurisdiction of Kakching District, under Section 21(1) of the Arm Act, to deposit their licensed arms at the nearest Police Stations on or before March 3, 2019.If any licensees fails to comply by the order, their licensed arms and ammunitions shall be confiscated by the Kakching Police, it informed.

Any individuals who desires to appeal against the order may submit his/her written justification for retaining the licensed arms to the District Magistrate, it further informed.
