Bishnupur, November 15 2015: The United Handloom & Weavers Society Limited, Kwakta today staged a protest demonstration against the scarcity of potable water at Kwakta Pangal Lamkhai.

While there is regular supply of water at neighbouring Phougakchao and Terakhongsangbi villages, people of Kwakta Pangal Lamkhai have been suffering from acute shortage of drinking water for almost 10 years, said one of the members of the United Handloom & Weavers Society Limited, Kwakta.

The society said that it will launch various forms of agitation in case the authority concerned fails to take up appropriate steps by November 25 .
