Tamenglong, September 15 2018: The Rongmei Naga Student's Organization (RNSO) has condemned the corporal punishment meted out on a seven year old girl student by two substitute teachers of Haolaijang Primary School in Noney (Luangmai) district, said a statement released by RNSO.

In the statement, RNSO lamented the attitude of the errant teachers as unacceptable and urged the relevant department to initiate rightful action to prevent such incident in future.

The statement further urged every teacher to have leniency while punishing pupils and exercise restraints and appealed all the school in Tamenglong and Noney district to refrain from giving corporal punishment to students.

RNSO will not remain silent in any similar incident in the future and will seek legal action to slap befitting punishment to the aberrant teachers.
