Imphal, March 14 2016: A combined team of Imphal East district police commando and 40 Assam Rifles conducted frisking and checking at Leirenpat crossing, Kongba.

During the frisking and check- ing, one self styled captain of PREPAK organisation identi- fied as Haorokcham Joykumar Singh alias Joy alias Nganba (40) s/o H Shamungou Singh of Awang Khunou Mamang Leikai was arrested today.

Investigation revealed that he was involved in extortion of money from the general public and Government offi- cials.

A case has been registered at Irilbung PS and investigation is going on, ac- cording to a statement issued by the PRO of police depart- ment.
