Locals protest transfer of IRB post from Aimol Ngairong

Tengnoupal, February 14 2017: Locals of Aimol villages today staged a sit-in to protest the move to transfer the 3rd IRB Post set up at Aimol Ngairong, reports our correspondent.

Protesters said that deployment of security personnel in the area is a must in order to prevent any anti-social activity and to ensure safety of the people.

As such, transferring the 3rd IRB Post will do more harm than good.

"We do not want State police or VDF personnel to be deployed.

We want a permanent IRB Post to be set up here,' the protesters added.

The sit-in was participated by the villagers of Aimol Ngairong, Aimol Khullen, Aimol Chandonpokpi, Aimol Khudamphai and Aimol Tampak.
