CNPO clarifies, appeals

Imphal, July 13 2016: The Chandel Naga People's Organisation (CNPO) has stated that the organisation has nothing to do with the posting or transfer of any Government officials of the district.

The CNPO in a statement signed by president Ws Kanral Anal said the press release purportedly issued by CNPO appealing to hold back the transfer of the EE of DRDA, Chandel, as published in local papers on July 11 is false and fabricated.

CNPO has nothing to do with the posting or transfer of the EE or any other Government officials, it said.

A presidential meeting held on July 12 attended by CNPO, NWUC, NSUC and others jointly condemned the misuse of CNPO's letter head.

CNPO claimed that the letter that was sent to the Principal Secretary (RD & PR) Government of Manipur through the DC, Chandel on June 28 requesting to stay the release of DRDA EE.

was , unofficial and was acted by some individuals on vested interest.

In the meantime, the Chandel Naga People Organisation (CNPO) also appealed to the State Government to initiate steps .
