Imphal, March 13 2016: Komrem Union, North East India (KUM- NEI) has strongly condemned the life attempt on Areng Aimol, a taxi driver from Kombirei village on March 10 near Pallel police station by Aimol Defence Force (ADF).

In a statement, KUM president Lalkhomang Serto appealed to all the leaders and public of Aimol tribe to initiate steps for normalisation of their relationships through mutual under- standing and tolerance and stated that as long as the Aimol tribe stand united, no force nor any bigger community can destroy their identity.

He also stated that the need of the hour is to shun violence and settle the differences through dialogue instead of accusing each other through the media.
