Prof Gunindro named for language award

Imphal, February 13 2025: Sahitya Thoupang Lup will confer the Khumbongmayum Gourahari Madhumati Mother Language Award for the year 2025 to language activist Prof Paonam Gunindro in recognition of his contribution in the field of language & culture.

In a release, Sahitya Thoupang Lup informed that the award includes cash prize of Rs 10,000, citation and shawl.

The award distribution ceremony will be held on the occasion of International Mother Language Day on February 21 at State Central Library auditorium.
