M Shyama Devi bags best actress, best musician awards

Imphal, January 13 2019: M Shyama Devi, an employee of the Directorate of University & Higher Education, has won best actress award and best musician award at "All India Multi Lingual Children's/Youth Play, Dance & Music Competition- Krishna Rang Mahatsav-20l8" held at Mathura.

She participated in the drama - 'Govinda Darshan' representing the Kanglei Mashek Mangal Cultural Organisation, Imphal.

The play bagged the best play award and she won the best actress award for the play, said a statement of L Iboyaima Singh, Joint Director, University & Higher Education, Government of Manipur.

Shyama also won best musician- award in the classical vocal music competition.

Staff association of Education (U) has feted her and wished her bright career in the field of performing art, said the statement.
