Chandel, December 11 2017: The Naga civil society of Chandel has served an ultimatum in a memorandum submitted to the chief minister N Biren Singh to withdraw all State police commandos from Chandel district by the midnight of December 14 .

The memorandum signed by president of CNPO, LV Robert Lamkang, NWUC secretary Jessy, NWUC president SR Jonigam threatened to launch agitation of shutting down all Government offices and business establishment and blocking of National Highway, Pallel to Moreh from the midnight of December 15.The memorandum stated that following the bomblast, State police commandos have been deployed in the district headquarters, although, the culprit has been nabbed with full cooperation and support of the civil organisation extended to the district police.
