Imphal, November 10 2012: The Taosang Village Authority, Khoupum subdivision, Tamenglong district has condemned the disruption of the VA election of the village by some culprits on November 9 .

According to a statement issued by the chairman/khullakpa of Taosang VA, G Tamjanlung, the poll officials had to pack and leave the village as the poll was disrupted due to violence perpetrated by some miscreants.

It further stated that nine people including the VA chairman were injured in the violence.

Alleging that the miscreants tried to use unfair means with force and exercised their political influence, the statement warned that any manipulation of the election would not be acceptable to the villagers.
