AR extends medical aid to accident victim

Imphal, September 10 2018: Timely administration of first aid by Sehlon Battalion of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQIGAR (South) saved the precious life of a young lady who met with an unfortunate accident.

According to source, the accident occurred on the treacherous roads of Samtal salient, yesterday at around 9.30 pm.

Lhinghoivah (22) of Phoilen village was returning from Bokan town back to her village along with her two brothers on a motor cycle which went out of control and skid on a sharp turn between Changjal and Tuitong.

Lhinghoivah fell down into a gorge.next to the road.

On receiving information about the mishap, the Changjal Company Operating Base immediately rushed to the spot and rescued the lady from the gorge.

Lhinghoivah was evacuated to the Company Operating Base where she was given five Stitches on her forehead for the deep cut wound she had sustained during the fall.

The Battalion's timely action was well appreciated by the victim and her family members.
