Imphal, September 08 2021: Khoupum Battalion of IGAR (South) extended lifesaving medical assistance to a snake bite victim of Upper Ngariyan village in Noney district on Tuesday.

According to PRO IGAR (S), a 24-year old male was bitten by a venomous snake and he was rushed by the villagers to Company Operating Base of Assam Rifles at N Khunou village.

The Assam Rifles medical centre immediately rendered lifesaving medical care to the patient and stabilized his condition.

He was further referred to Bishnupur District Hospital for further treatment, it added.
