Police constable dies in road accident

Kakching, January 07 2025: A Manipur police constable died after he was hit by a Mahindra Bolero (MN02A 4405) around 7:30 pm Tuesday near Nungourok Baptist Church along the Kakching Lamkhai and Pallel stretch of NH 102 .

The deceased has been identified as Thellinshang Tontang (39), son of (late) Kothel Tontang of Nungourok village.

According to reports, Ton-tang was walking when hit by a Bolero car coming from Kakching Lamkhai.

He was rushed to Jivan Hospital, Kakching but succumbed to injuries.

A case has been registered in connection with the incident at Kakching police station.
