Road blocked to demand repairing

Thoubal, December 06 2021: Protestors on Monday blocked the Irong Chesaba link road under Wabagai assembly constituency for indefinite period demanding blacktopping of the said road.

Speaking to the media, Irong Chesaba Development Forum senior executive Md Aurangazeb recounted that they had asked the authorities concerned for black-topping of the road by December 5 as it has been lying untended for 4-5 years, but there has been response from them on the issue.

They repeatedly requested the authorities concerned, local MLA and contractor L Surjit but nothing has come of it.

Hence, they had to resort to blocking of the road, he reasoned.

Md Aurangazeb also thanked all the clubs and organisations and public for supporting the agitation.
