Imphal, November 05 2017: The State Govt has cancelled the selection process for the posts of Leading Fireman, Fireman and Driver of Manipur Fire Service Department .

According to an order issued by the Special Secretary (Home), Director of Manipur Fire Service, with the approval of Home Dept, held a DPC on Oct 7, 2015 for direct recruitment of 144 vacant posts of Grade III and IV posts of different categories in the department .

After receiving complaints on alleged irregularities in the recruitment process, the Home Department conducted an enquiry into the allegation of irregularities in the selection process for direct recruitment to the posts of Leading Fireman, Fireman and Driver .

The Enquiring officer has submitted the enquiry report to the Government stating that there were various irregularities in the selection process, it said .

The State Govt after detailed examination of the enquiry report is satisfied that there were large scale irregularities in the selection process.

Subsequently, it has been decided to cancel the selection process for the posts of Leading Fireman, Fireman and Driver.
