Tengnoupal, October 01 2017: Meetei Council Moreh (MCM), Tamil Sangam Moreh, TBSFA Manipur, CDO Moreh and Tata DI Association, Moreh, organised a blessing ceremony at Indo Myanmar Friendship bridge/ gate number 2, today, for the eight football players of the State, who will take part in the under 17 World Cup .

Sports Minister Letpao Haokip also took part in the event .

Speaking to media persons, Letpao urged the people to eliminate the selfish mindset of encroaching on public grounds or lands which aspiring athletes can use .

Expressing happiness at the inclusion of eight players from the State in the under 17 World Cup, he prayed for their success and urged the people to support the players, pray and cheer for them .

The Minister also donated a football to the players of Moreh with the aim to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship.
