Imphal, July 31 2016: Twenty candidates turned up for the audition for the Miss Manipur Transgender 2016 which was held at Hotel Yaiphaba today.

Before the audition, a film 'Unfreedom', which is a about a society torn apart by political, religious and social turmoils was screened afterwhich a short discussion session among the candidates was held.

The purpose of organising such event is to campaign and promote the rights of transgenders in the State.
