Imphal, January 30 2018: The border villages of Thinghat Sub-Division are connected to Thinghat through Khunta tracks (temporary) which are blocked due to various reasons for most part of the year.

One such road is connecting villages Zhoukhunou, Theigotang, Hiantam Khunou and Thinghat covering a distance of approx 46 Kilometers.

According to a press release issued by PIB Defence Wing, to obviate the suffering of the locals and improve connectivity, Khuga Battalion cleared and repaired the complete stretch between Zhoukhunou-Thinghat.

This effort provided the village population opportunities to strengthen them financially, economically and logistically as it opens the avenues in field of education availing medical facilities and trade and commerce from these isolated villages to the hinterland and beyond due to improved connectivity.
