Imphal, January 29 2015 : The body of a male was found floating along the Naga river at Gaipuinam in Imphal today around 6 am.

Gangmei Joyrita w/o G Manshi found the body floating on the river while cleaning the river bank near her house.

She said that she came across something that looked like a bag along the river and realised that it was a body.

She called one of her neighbours, Akim Reishangmei to confirm it was a body and later informed the local club and women society.

A team of police retrieved it later.

President of Gaipuinam Youth Club condemned such inhumane and merciless act.

He further said that women society of Gaipuinam has started investigating the matter.
