Chandel, February 26 2017: The Naga Students' Union Chandel and Naga Women Union Chandel announced a total shutdown in the district from 5 am till 5 pm on February 27 .

The shut down has been called demanding to expedite Indo-Naga political talks and immediate unconditional release of Gaidon Kamei, president UNC and Stephen Sankhil, information & publicity secretary, UNC.
