Imphal, November 25 2016: Leaders and activists of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) organised a protest rally at Imphal, today against the demonetisation of Rs 500 and 1000 currency notes.

The rally began from Congress Bhavan at BT Road and passed through Kanglapat area, Khuyathong and Nagamapal before wrapping up at BT road.

MPCC president TN Haakip and MLAs including L Nandakumar, N Loken, O Lukhoi, T Mangibabu and RK Imo were present in the rally.

Leaders and activists of the frontal organisations of Congress also took part in the rally.

Yesterday, MPCC had staged a sit in protest in front of the Congress Bhavan against Prime Minister Narendra Modi demonetisation decision.
