Snake bite victims saved

The medical team of Thoubal Battalion of
Keithelmanbi Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR
(South) saved the life of two snake bite victims on June 23 and 24.
The victims namely S Joykumar (55) of Wangbal, Thoubal district
and Th Bimola Devi (50) of Angtha, Imphal East district were bit-
ten by venomous snakes and were immediately rushed to the unit
hospital of Thoubal Battalion of the Assam Rifles.
The victim were readily attended by the medical team and
necessary first aid was administered.
Later the victims became
stable and were subsequently discharged.
This timely action of the AR medical team not only saved
precious human life, but also reinforced good faith among the
locals, said a statement issued by the PRO of IGAR (S) .
