Tamei bodies picket SDO office

Imphal, June 25 2013: The frontal organisations of Tamei namely Tamei Students' Union, Tamei Women Front, and Tamei HQ Youth Club had picketed the SDO office from yesterday.

A joint statement of the frontal organisations pointed out that the SDO of Tamei Bogen Singh has issued a residential/domicile certificate to a non-resident of Tamei Caleb Injiangam Panmei in the year 2010 .

An ultimatum was submitted to the DC, SDO and SDC to cancel the issued residential/domicile certificate of Caleb on or before June 23 .

Since there is no response nor cancellation of the bogus certificate, the frontal organisations had taken up its own course of action.

If the concern authorities do nothing further, more aggressive agitations will follow, the statement warned and appealed the DC and the SDO to solve the problem peacefully.
