Imphal, December 22 2021: Tripura University will now have a department of Manipuri Dance and diploma course on Manipuri Language.

The decision was taken in the meeting of the university's academic council held on December 16.The meeting resolved to open post graduate departments of Social Work, Manipuri Dance and National Security Studies.

The meeting also resolved to offer one year diploma course in Japanese, Manipuri, Korean and Nepali languages.

The university will soon seek approval from the University Grants Commission, according to a press release issued by VC of the university professor Ganga Prasad Prasain.
