AR reaches out to ESM, Veer Naris

Imphal, May 20 2021: Churachandpur Battalion of Assam Rifles reached out to ex-servicemen and Veer Naris staying in remote areas of Churachandpur district through video conferencing on Thursday to enquire about their wellbeing amid imposition of lockdown to contain Covid-19.According to a release, the ex-servicemen and Veer Naris highly appreciated and were overwhelmed by the noble initiative carried out by the troops of Assam.

A brief informative session was also conducted emphasising on Covid-19 appropriate behaviour and safety measures to keep themselves safe during the pandemic.

The importance of early vaccination was also conveyed to the veterans, the release added.
