Ukhrul, August 19 2015: ATM booths of Union Bank of India installed at the central point of Ukhrul town and mini-secretariat complex remain non-functional for about a month now owing to technical failure, reports our Correspondent.

As such, customers appealed to the bank authority to fix the problem at the earliest, Mungchan Zimik reports.

UBI customers also expressed dissatisfaction with the way UBI staff deal with its customers.

UBI, Ukhrul branch Manager Ranjit on the other hand, blamed private agency/company who had installed the machines, for its technical failure.

He said that authorized technical experts who were supposed to come from Kolkata to repair the machines are reluctant to come to Manipur owing to the present situation of the State.

The bank must have more ATMs at the branch office but due to the non-availability of authorized technical experts, all the machines are lying uninstalled at the office, he said.
