Jiri, December 18 2012: The Electricity dept, Jiribam has launched a drive against illegal consumers today.

A team of Electricity Department led by W Naba Singh, AE and Ali Ahmed, SO with their staff conducted the drive at Jiribam area.

Power was disconnected to commercial establishments of the area.

When contacted the EE Electricity M Dorendro Sharma said that many outstanding bills are due with the consumers and hence the drive necessitated.

The drive will be continued in the entire Jiribam and hilly areas too.

Assuring regular power supply to Jiribam before Christmas, the EE added that outdated wires will be replaced as soon as possible.
