Imphal, September 18 2015 : A 21 year old youngster was electrocuted at Sugnu Makha Leikai, Thoubal district at around 3 pm yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Moirangthem Michael (21) s/o Inaocha of Sugnu Makha Leikai.

After taking a bath in a pond located near Sugnu guest house, Michael was returning home.

On the way back, Michael raised his hands to fling and dry his wet hair.

The next moment, he came into contact with a live drooping domestic power line.

Although he was immediately rushed to a nearby health centre, he did not respond to any treatment.

The body has been handed over to family members after post mortem at JNIMS today.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered at Sugnu police station.
