Imphal, July 18 2022: Imphal East district police commandos arrested a youth along with heroin from Kshetri Awang Leikai area during a frisking operation on Sunday at around 8.20 pm.

The arrested person has been identified as Mansish Ahmad alias Manshbro (20), son of Md Tamijur of Kshetri Awang Leikai.

The CDO team intercepted the youth, who came driving an unregistered Vespa.

Upon checking, they found seven plastic vials containing heroin and four empty vials from his possession.

During preliminary questioning, Mansish confided that he has been carrying out illegal drug trade since the past five to six months.

He procures the drugs from one Md Wahid of Kshetri Awang Leikai and used to sell them to drug pushers.

He along with the seized drugs has been handed over to Porompat police station for further legal action.
