Jiribam (Imphal East), March 17 2015: A 6 day long Swachh Bharat Mission programme organised jointly by the PHED, Jiribam Division and Jiri Development Organisation (JDO), Jiribam has kicked off today, reports Jiri News Network.

The inaugural function was marked by a rally which was flagged off from Jiribam sub-division ADC office complex by SDC (HQ) H Dhananjoy Singh.

Speaking to reporters, JDO Jiribam general secretary W Dinesh Meitei said that the programme has been organised in order to implement the Swachh Bharat Mission successfully in rural areas.

Essay writing competition, painting competition in Gram Panchayat and Gram Sabha level and street play on hand washing will be the highlights of the 6 day-long Swachh Bharat Mission programme.
