AR organises community service / Covid awareness drive

Imphal, January 17 2021: Troops of Assam Rifles organised a community service cum Covid awareness drive on at Chayang Laikot village in Imphal East, today.

The event commenced with the soldiers paying homage at Chayang Laikot Village Baptist Church as per the customs and traditions of the village, said IGAR (S) in a statement.

The event aimed to educate the locals regarding the importance of hygiene, sanitation and various necessary precautions to be adhered to prevent the spread of COVID-19, it added.

The statement continued that face masks, hand sanitisers etc were also provided to the locals.
