24 AR Raising Day celebrated

Imphal, September 15 2015: 24 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) celebrated 31st Raising Day at Tengnoupal and at all the posts of the unit today with great enthusiasm, PRO of IGAR (S) informed in a statement.

A variety of programmes were organised to boost the morale of the "Veer Jawans" deployed in the region including unfurling of the Assam Rifles flag.

In his address, the Commandant conveyed his best wishes to the jawans and their families on the auspicious day of Raising Day and advised them to maintain good relationship with civilians and praised them for their continuous efforts in the present operational scenario.

A 'Barakhana' was also organised in Tengnoupal and all posts in which the village chief, local authorities and civil population were invited, it added.
