Imphal, July 15 2014: Logtak Brigade under the aegis of Red Shield Division organised a day-long free Eye Care Camp in association with Shija Hospital, Imphal at Sadu Chiru on 15 Jul 2014 under 'Op Sadbhavana' .

The medical team was headed by Dr Sachindra Laishram, Eye Specialist from Shija Hospital Imphal.

The team provided free eye check up, consultation and screening of patients suffering from diseases like Cataract, Ptergium, Glaucoma and Retinopathies (Hypertensive and Diabetic) which are quite common amongst the middle aged and elderly people.

Free medicines and spectacles were provided by the Army to the patients.

The eye camp attracted 154 villagers from Sadu Chiru village and other nearby villages.

Patient who required further treatment and eye surgery were suitably advised by the eye specialist, according to a statement issued by PIB Defence Wing, Imphal.
