Vety Dept distributes piglets

Imphal, November 13 2012: District veterinary office, Chandel distributed 75 numbers of 2-3 months old improvised variety piglets to 25 beneficiaries in the district under tRastriya Krishi Vikash Yojana (2009-2010) on Tuesday.

Speaking at the function, Dr Y Rajendro Singh, Joint Director of Chandel appealed to all the beneficiaries to utilize the piglets given to them judiciously and to create a habit of replacement of the piglets after they have grown so that pig rearing could continue in the beneficiary families.

Rajendro also requested beneficiaries to contact any veterinary hospital/ dispensary when the piglets or any other livestock rearing by them show sign of diseases.
