Imphal, January 13 2015: 40 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) organised a medical camp at Andro as part of Operation Sadbhavana yesterday.

The camp was conducted under the supervision of Medical Officer and paramedical staff of 40 Assam Rifles.

Besides providing treatment, free medicines were provided to the patients while serious cases were referred to Government hospitals.

Free diagnosis of malaria and diabetes was also conducted by the team.

About 400 patients, including women and children were treated/diagnosed during the camp.

A lecture on health awareness was also delivered by the Medical Officer in which he emphasized on the maintenance of hygiene and sanitation as well as preventive measures from various deadly diseases, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .
