Churachandpur, December 11 2015 : The mortuary cabinets which have been ordered by the Health Department for Churachandpur district hospital reached the district today, our correspondent reports.

The mortuary or the cold storage, as is commonly called, comprises of two sets with each set having the capacity to house 6 bodies each.

Upon the arrival of the mortuary cabinets, technicians have begun installing the same at the hospital mortuary building.

When the cabinets are operational, the bodies of the nine people whose unembalmed bodies are kept for over 100 days without proper preservation will be housed for as long as it is needed.
