Police foil hijack attempt

Imphal, April 09 2013: A car (I-20) belonging to one Hijam Bira (48) of Thangmeiband Lourung Purel Leikai coming from Guwahati towards Imphal was waylaid by six unknown miscreants at T Khullen along NH 2 today.

Even as the miscreants tried to hijack the car, Kangpokpi police swung into action rescued the car in addition to apprehending one of the miscreants identified as BK Gideon Thangal (38) s/o late Charang of Ningthou-pham.
